The Netherlands Surrendering its Colonization on Indonesia to Japan
Kalijati Agreement is a vow between Japan and The Netherlands about them declaring a surrender on the colonization of Indonesia. The Kalijati Agreement was signed by Japan and The Netherlands on 8th of March, 1942 in Kalijati, Subang.
A day later Japan took over Bandung, Bandung is the final defense of DEI Government if their position in Batavia is Threatened. Governor-General Tjarda von Starkenborgh had fled to bandung, and stayed at the resident's mansion which now becomes Pakuan Building and in Villa "Mei Ling" located on St. Dr. de Groot (Now St. Siliwangi). The former villa belongs to Han en Kan, a rich Chinese rice businessman. The villa was occupied by the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies until the fall of Dutch power in Bandung.
